The Historical Atlas of Spanish consists of a database of structural features presented in the form of a brief state of the art illustrated with graphs and maps. The tool is being created collaboratively with the participation of a large team of international specialists. Based on the results of the Atlas, the project aims to contribute to the study of linguistic variation and change from a dialect perspective and, above all, extract significant generalizations about the origin and geographical spread of linguistic changes.
The Biblia medieval website is a collection of interactive electronic resources for the study of the Old Spanish translations of the Bible. This includes the Biblia Medieval corpus that enables users to view in parallel columns the extant medieval Spanish versions of the Bible, compare them side-by-side with their Latin and Hebrew sources and consult directly facsimilar images of the manuscripts. Likewise the Biblias Hispánicas corpus contains normalized editions of medieval and Renaissance Spanish translations of the Bible with their Latin and Hebrew sources. Since the texts are lemmatized and tagged for part of speech it is possible to use that linguistic informarion in the queries.
The Corpus Mallorca is a collection of historical documents written in Spanish by Catalan speakers in Majorca. As such it is a unique resource to study from a diachronic perspective the history of Spanish in contact with Catalan in the Balearic Islands. The corpus includes over 1200 documents dated between 1640 and 1909. The edition follows the guidelines of the CHARTA network: as such it combines, for each document, a paleographic transcription with access to facsimilar images of the documents, and a normalized version. The Corpus Mallorca features a potent search engine with possiblity of downloading the results in a spreadsheet format.
